The sexiest women, to me, are the "cookies." The slightly femme fatale, very independent women of cinema who arrive on their own at the private detectives for a problem that's a little scandalous.
They're inevitably greeted by a bartender, somewhere, saying, "Hey, cookie!" and they have the shoes to match.
The great news is that the rise in retro-style looks means that we can all be a cookie, if we can wedge ourselves into the dress. Here are some great places to get your cookie on.

Oh Nicole, I love that black dress! I think I need one! :) Great picks here.
i love those clothes but they just aren't for me! I'll never be able to make the most of a dress like that. I sure love those frocks on you though. I was in a Berkeley shop with a couple of other Pens this week, that had exactly my style: everything was black and gray and drapey and long. If clothes could be noir they were.
I'm with Sophie -- I absolutely LOVE this style, but I'm not quite sure I can pull it off. I got myself one skirt that I'm going to try out at Left Coast Crime, so we'll see...

I love all the retro things that are coming back in style. They totally suit me and my body shape!! Not sure I can pull off the cookie but if you come to visit, I'll try :)
